Essentially, they manage the land and secure the lease so that they can drill for oil and gas
Typically, a landman’s job is to negotiate and finalize contracts with landowners with mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent. Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, man-camp housing, supervise the installation of excavation machinery, and drill the site itself, especially in remote locations.

They are also part-time fixers, problem solvers, and managers. Love this show, a good, different story that keeps you engaged.
Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy is great and loves learning more about how the oil industry works
I’m hooked and some strong characters Jon Hamm is equally great and Demi Moore as his oil baron wife is inspired because she’s gorgeous Another hard man, hard life from Sheridan Smith and always a good theme tune. I only have Paramount to watch their stuff and I’m thankful this show is going the way of the show on top of Yellowstone.
I hope we don’t have to wait years for the second series
Billy Bob’s Tommy is definitely a better actor or on par with John Dutton.
